GVR-4 Motor Swapped into 93 1G

Hey all,

Just discovered my 1g 7 bolt motor has walked

So, looking at the possibility of picking up a 6 bolt from a GVR4 to drop in.

Are there any issues with this swap?

Is it pretty much a one to one fit or are there concerns with vac lines, motor mounts and different sensors/connectors?

The motor should just drop in, its some of the sensors that will be an issue.

Yeah, just drop the engine in but use your sensors (i.e. TPS, CAS, etc.).

If you swap the motor make sure you post that on the build forum

You'll need a 6 bolt water neck. The radiator cap in the vr4 is on the radiator and not the water neck like our DSM's.

The 7-bolt water neck is different than the 6 bolt?
