Guy please! Lets keep this on topic. This thread is about a Honda yea but it's still a turbo discussion.

You honda haters really need to shut it, I have 4 Hondas at the shop right now that could spank 95% of the cars on this board so stop hating. If a car is fast it's fast who cares who makes it. A GSR Turbo is an amazing combo espically in a hatchback. You can get 11's so easily from that setup and it's cheap too.

I think the original poster has enough information. If you want to PM me privately I can help you out. If somebody makes a kit that would be the best way to go it's a lot easier. Stay away from maxrev like I said other then that your good to go.

They just did a guy in my club's Si. They really put together a great setup. Its a little $$, but you will really see some nice gains out of it.

You migh try some Honda forums as well. www.hstuners.com or www.honda-tech.com

those guys are like 10min away from my house... i dont know if ide trust them with my car, but thats IMO..they turbo about every mopar and cavy in a 100mile radius

No really,i hate honda's and all but at least he/she is not asking how to put a wing on or which stickers they should get.Get the 14b,you will not like the t25!there is alot of things you need to get fabricated for your car if you can not find any kits!You need fuel upgrades(fuel pump,fuel managment,injectors)you will need a exhaust manifold to fit your car,you will need an intercooler and all of the piping,a blow off valve,you might have to tap your own oil line somehow,you might have to move around some coolant lines also.There's plenty of thing's i'm missing i know that.your friend is looking to dump alot of money into his/her car.Not to be a dick or nothing but your friend might want to look into buying something that is already turbocharged,i'm not trying to push a DSM over on them or nothing,there are alot of turbocharged cars out there....Supra,MR2,neon srt-4,etc,etc.i'm just saying that the amount of money that will be spent trying to turbocharge a honda could do alot more with a car that is already turbocharged.Well i hope everything goes well with whatever you try and do.

instead of using the the check valve solution, they are using something like a check valve but machined into the stock mount called the missing link it holds the boost from reaching the MAP try doing a search on missing link.
 
nahh i was just kiddin about hondas LOL.. i dont like them too much... but dont get me wrong... they are gettin better and better now.. i used 2 have one way back...

believe me my friend has a 91 honda crx sohc 1.6 vtec and he takes me by 2 cars

actually sh*tbag i bought the car and i pay for it. so what u have to say now biatch? oh yea dont lemme forget the 10th anni edition 99 eclipse n/t i had that I PAID FOR!!!!!!! so lemme just say not only is my gsx better than ure car but so was my n/t so shut the hell up for christ sakes
 
wow, here i go to vegas for 4 days and this thread explodes, btw thanks for all the imput, i will have to read it all over when it is not 2:18 am, anyway thanks, ill post any questions once i read it all, and thanks to the mods for keeping this thread alive in a dsm board
 
If you have the money for a fuel management system i would go for the 14b but if you are just going to go with a fmu missing link etc go with the t25 cause the most you would want to run with the missing link/fmu would be about 5-6 psi. Talk to Art on honda-tech.com he knows his shit about junkyard set ups. Also, there is a honda junkyard website floating around.

jesus christ guys, an engine is made of steel and pistons and just because it says honda on the top dosnet mean a discusion about turbos doesnt belonge here, its not like im a honda guy, im a dsm guy tryign to do some work on the side, this is one of the better, if not hte best dsm/turbo centers, so thats my piece, hondas may suck, but if i can do this job it gets me money which will go right back into my car....

anyway, ill have to check out his car again and get some more details ill check back.
