Guitar Hero is more fun than my dsm!

Someone actually sat down and wrote out that whole dragonforce song and put it to music on their computer. I remember reading about the new programs people were making where you could play your own songs. That song isn't in either game. If you go to forum.guitarherogame.com you can do a search for "freetar hero" i believe is what it's called.

Eh? There's no way..the song playing is the exact Dragonforce song. Remember back in the day, when you could make your own ringtones on cellphones...that'd be like somebody making an exact replica of the song on there. I would think there's just some way to import the mp3 to the game or something?

for personal use im sure its ok to use the real song. for them making the game, they either have to get permission to use the real song or use a cover band and it shows in the corner as "As made famous by" then the band who originally did the song. since most bands are stingy it would cost alot of money and royalties if they used the real song for all the tracks, and costs less to hire bands to perform covers.

btw the dragonforce one above kicks ass.

How bout Dragonforce themselves playing the game? :thumb:

Hehe, Herman Li got pwned.

Quick! Someone toss him an Ibanez! ;)

EDIT: Sam Totman cracks me up, he's always plastered.

There is no simple way to upload an mp3 file and have it magically convert to a song and compress every note into 1 of 5 buttons. Here is the guys freetar hero thing and a preview before he had finished the song.

Do you have to do the 'wave your guitar around madly by the tremelo bar' thing on it?

:D

thats pretty neat, so he's basically using a program to emulate guitar hero on his computer with new songs? BTW i beat freebird on medium!!!! woot! now i have to get more than 3 stars LOL.

yeah, lets see.............

nerd with nothing else to do but spend hours alone with a 5 button guitar learning every note pattern and just knows what he sees on the screen.

versus

a guy who spends most the time on the road playing a real guitar, that plays music by what he feels, not what he sees on a screen, and ###### doesnt play much games let alone a guitar one.

im gonna take the nerdy white guy with no life for 200$ alex.

the above is proof why mixing the two and knowing the difference between a fun game and real guitar is key to not being ignant or closed-minded towards a simple game.

You fail at sarcasm. Had you even a small clue about me, you'd know that Herman Li is one of my favorite guitarists. Now, go back to the play pen. You're not educating anyone here. :|

oh i know, youre the one who made me get into dragonforce in the first place. im just saying in general trying to take real guitarits and make them play a pseudo guitar game versus a nerd who has mastered the 5-button axe is a no brainer.

my post was not directed against you, it was more of helping solidify the obvious. simmer down big guy.

mastering the 5 button axe is no small feat hehe, probably no where near mastering a real guiatar though i'm sure.

Ah, I see. My apologies, I thought it was of a condescending tone.

You are correct, obviously. :thumb:

I'm not enough of an asshole to hide when I make a mistake.
