Guess what Just came in!!!

Just ordered an ACT Clutch kit yesterday from Prostreetonline and it came in today.
I gotta say thats the FASTEST shipping I've seen...
I'm about to take out my tranny tomorrow with a couple of friends and put it on.
Is this the right TOB i need? or do i need to go buy an oem?

anything else i need to know about the install?

Is that the "Nachi" TOB? That's the one that came with my kit from ProStreet. I used it and so far I have no problems. Just use the VFAQ for the install and it should go smoothly.

P.S. You should throw a Quaife in there while you got it out.

How much is the Quaife LSD?? Damn i dont' think i can afford one right now...

one more thing, Does the instruction in "Vfaq" for a 2awd apply to a fwd as well? any differences?

It's about $1000... The install should be the same, minus the transfer case.

yeah, I herd that if you go with an ACT clutch, it is a good idea to get an oem throw out bearing.

The TOB is fine. Same company that makes the OEM TOB. Just open it up out of that plastic bag and make sure it's got a solid plasic inner sleeve. It should be grey in color.

i also had fast shipping from them....as far as the TOB, they used to send metal ones and everyone would have to get an oem plastic one instead, now they send the plastic one in the kit so you will be fine

make sure that the guy who is doing the step shows you that it is 0.610 don't take his word for it, read it yourself. There have been a lot of bad installs due to bad flywheel step jobs and you can ask anyone here, the last thing you want to do after you install a brand new clutch is do it all over agian. I would also make sure that you follow the break in methods suggested by the manufacturer.

WOw I wish I would have ordered my ACT Xact flywheel from you guys, its been a month since I ordered mine and I still havent gotten it

You might want to ask the machinist to measure the flywheel while you watch him. Make sure he seems familiar with the device and how to use it on your flywheel.

Prostreet is the best. I ordered my flywheel and such about 6 months earlier than when I put it in. By the time I got a NEW tranny, which turned out to be AWD, I needed to get a different FLYwheel.

They did the swap with me, NO QUESTIONS asked.

I love my ACT clutch. I have heard great thing about Prostreet and will be looking to them for my last few parts when I get to buying.

I would also say that you should post your experiance on www.vendors-reviewed.com so that others can see what you have to say.

Just got my 2600 in and was also skeptical w/ the throwout bearing untill I found this thread. All the problems there's been lately I hope i don't fall victim.
