i figured it would be easier to have one thread with questions instead of 5-6 on different subjects. So, if you have any questions on how to do something, or where something is...list it here, no questions asking who likes this car, or what to do with mod money, unless you specify your car and where your car has problems, etc....ive got a couple

anyone find the mk4 supra? i cant find it, i want to start out with that, but it seems as if its not on the gt mode, only arcade....anyone?

Does the handling seem harder to anyone else, or am i just used to the indy car in gt3?

To make it easier, for certain questions, post your car and hp rating....

97' RX-7 530hp
low 12's

How are the drag races in GT4?

Handling does seem a bit more difficult on this game.
Did anyone else start with a Galant VR4? I'm kinda pissed at the aftermarket support for it seeing as how it maxes out power at I believe some 400hp, maybe less. However with the 320hp it has now, it still runs a better quarter mile (13.1) than my 365hp 90 Toyota Supra (14.1). I should probably get some slicks and an LSD for that Supra to knock that time down some.
And lastly, what car did you guys use for the FF race? I was looking at getting the Eclipse but it's aftermarket parts make the baby Jesus cry. So I've narrowed it down to a 91 Prelude VTEC SI and a Integra Type R (don't know the year). They make similar power stock, but I figure the Type R will be treated better with mods. Any oppinions?

to buy cars from a few years back (1985-2002ish) you need to visit the used car showroom. there are two: one is from 85 to 94, the other is 95 on. this is where you will find the sexy 90's supercars like skylines, rx7s, 300zx, supra mk4, etc etc.

they seem to have just split up the places you buy the cars a million different ways. any one car can be in the dealership's new cars list, classic cars list, used car showroom 1, used car showroom 2, or a tuner shop's full model.

another thing that is dumb is the time it takes to change your oil. can i please press a button? i do not wish to view the animation sequence of the little guy getting on a creeper and going under my car thousands of times. i guess they thought it was such an awesome animation that i want to watch it every time i change my oil in its entirety.

awd4g63- i havent actually seem them come into play as part as the game, its almost like the one in gt3, just a difference enviroment.

DeviantClipse- depends on how much money you started with, if you started with 10grand, i heard the galant vr4 is a good starter, you can find it in the historic car dealership. i started with a 97 rx7 and its not bad, but handling is killing me.

gsxeclipsed- have you purchased any suspension yet? if so, what upgrade did you go with?

19Eclipse90- depending on your funds, i would consider the srt4, i heard thats a good starter. i would lean towards the type r tho, higher revs and if you throw a turbo on there i bet you will get some nice numbers

So, nobody knows where the mk4 supra is?

I agree with that.

And for general setups for most cars, Lower them, but not all the way(i usually leave about 5mm from the bottom) and set the spring rates about 3/4's of the way stiff. Also you can add a bit of camber. Turn the Traction Control down(0-3 depending on the car) and turn the stability management down(again as low as you can go without losing to much control)

I also usually turn the Nitrous up to just about full as I find that it lasts for quite awhile.

PS Every car, even new ones will gain HP from an Oil Change.

i know what ones you are talkin about, but i dont see any mk4 supra's, the only supra i have found is the 90. i even go back and look and double check, but nothing. i found the evo to "big feeling" for some of the races, example, the one where you race through the city but if you hit the wall yo uget a 5second penalty, makes it quite a challenge.

Supra is in Used showroom 2 after a couple of updates. After you mod it the handling is tough unless you buy adjustable everything to make it better

I'm going to use the Mini Cooper S, just because after I'm done doing the FF races, I can use it in the lightweight cup.

I used the car you win by beating all the Sunday Cup races, the '79 Autobiancha, in the lightweight. I had to throw a stage two turbo and a racing exhaust on it to win... then I sold it for 8,000 cr.

prolly a stupid question but, someone said you can change oil. I cent seem to find where, can someone point me in the right direction?

How do you get the tach to display on the view from behind your car?
IHeartTurbo said:
You don't. :thumbdown

Really? That sucks, behind the car is my favorite view, and it sounds awesome from that view too. I don't see why they wouldnt put basically the most important gauges (with a m/t, anyway) on probably the most popular view. I second your :thumbdown

Yes you can change oil and after a "x" amount of miles you must to keep performance at its peak.

To change oil go to GT Auto which is located near the left side of your home base

[n00b]So how do you transfer files? I read it the first time but I didnt want to do it so I hit cancel. It said you could do it when you are in the "Home"? Ive looked but cant find. [/n00b]

OK i have an evo VIII MR with 538 HP and i need to set up my suspension?
Evo VIII MR 413 hp current suspension set up still fine tuning.
In the VIII I got S3 I/E, chip, port polish, intercooler and oil change, 413hp. Full tranny, clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, S2 weight reduction (It actually tells you know what they are doing), and suspension.
With AWD cars they tend to push so you can't get on it hard coming out of a turn. I'm still working on getting mine set up the way I like it. I took off all the traction controls and stability managment. I lowered it to 124mm, stiffened up the front to 8 (if I remember), the rear is at 4. The front springs are at 11.4kg and the rear at 4.3kg. This stops the front from diving and allows the rear end to move around a little. I have 1.4deg of neg camber up front and .3deg in the rear. This allows the front tires to keep from rolling over and maintaining a good contact patch. Front toe is at zero, rear toe is at -.5 This allows the rear to come around easier. I'm adjusting the sway bars right now and finding out which works best. Stiffening up the rear has worked good, but I thought I wanted to lossen the rear up tighten the front up, I'm just confused here. Anyways, all that I've done to the suspension I've done to get the rear end to come around easier and the front to stay planted. Once I got used to it I was about 1sec faster than basic setup at Auto Ring Mini.
