Saskatoon,
Hey so I have a specific question dealing with my 97 GSX. It has 17" TSW rims which I love, same size as OEM.

I want to drive it all year round eventually so I want some winter rims, I have located some the five spoke 15" OEM rims off a 2000-2004 RS model. I believe they are: P195/65R15 89H.

Will these work on my GSX?

Any help appreciated :)

If they come off a dsm...they will fit on an dsm.

The only things you really need to worry about are bolt pattern, which is 114.3, offset, and size. (diameter and width) DSM's can fit up to 19's or 20's, although i dont know why you'd want them. And i think 8.5 is the biggest width i've seen that will still tuck.

Beyond that, fitment is up to the tire...not the wheel.

Good god...your gonna have more problems than just clearance issues if your wheels are 16 feet tall! ROFL

But to answer your question...16" wheels fit perfectly fine with GSX brakes. You should have plenty of clearance. Some have even sported 15's with no problems, although i wouldn't suggest it.

I agree with DSMtaco, the minimum i would suggest using on your gsx would be 16's.
