Gst running issues

Ok so I did some looking on the search part of the forums and found a few answers but would like to make sure everything is in place for what I need to check tomorrow. My friend bought a 95 Gst and it is having a couple issues. The first one is a really low idle. From what I have gathered it could possibly be a vacuum leak. The second issue is whenever hes not accelerating or at a constant speed the car dies like when hes pulling up on a stop light to stop. Im thinking its either the battery or alternator. Any other suggestions? All help is appreciated. Thanks

Is the BOV vented to atmosphere?

The low idle is probably causing the stalling issue as well. You can adjust the idle with the BISS screw on the throttle body.

The car is completely stock. Its recirc bov. The motor was rebuilt 100 miles ago by the previous owner. It runs great when it runs. Ill check the biss screw. I totally forgot about that! Ill keep you guys posted.

My car would always die on my when I would go and stop I would have to try and throw it in neutral and give it gas while braking to keep it from dying. My isc was bad and didn't allow enough air in when stopping to keep it running. Test the isc with a ohmmeter to be sure but I would bet that solves the one if not both idle issues.

Adjust the biss screw out when it is warmed up to increase rpm.
