well i ordered my koni sports and ground control coilover springs from ground control directly. i looked at the vfaq install instructions but i seem to be coming out with different results. i installed the plastic washer and bump stop. i slipped the threaded collar on along with the spring. i then installed the small metal washer and the rubber insulator for the springs. next step was the metal ring and top hat bottom bushing. top hat was next and top bushing along with metal washers and 2 nuts to finish it off.

my problem seems to be that the spring seems to be too short for all the components to stay together. everything is just too loose for it to stay together once installed. here is a picture. you can notice how the spring is just moving around along with the metal ring. i know the vfaq says i have to adjust the threaded collar all the way up but its at its very top slot and the ring and rubber insulator still do not get flush with the top red metal washer.

would you guys assume i got the wrong springs? or installation error? let me know your input since ground control is closed till Monday. thanks guys.

i was under the impression that koni sports and ground control coilover spring kit was all i needed. seems like vfaq does not have helper springs. i could be wrong but comparing pictures it looks like vfaqs springs are longer than the one supplied to me. just in case you guys need to know the spring rates. front is 500. rear is 375.

the dg write up you guys are talking about is for a different setup isnt it?

Kinda, it details two ways to use Konis.
How tall are your springs? It's possible you got the wrong ones..

all 4 eibach springs provided by ground control are 6 inches tall. measured the oem springs that i removed from one front and one rear and they are 12 inches tall.

after doing a little research it seems the car likes a 8 inch spring in front and rear. can anyone confirm this as their setup or have comments on to what to use?
