Grinding into third

Problem is... when i race my gears grind from second to third... it still goes in, but i hear a short grinding noise. All of my other gears are fine and it doesnt happen when i drive normally. From what i read people suggest changing the trasmission fluid, but they all had the problem when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Should i try the same or could it be another problem?

It could be in your clutch or your tranny. Most likely your synchros are wearing out. Mine are doing the same. Try a different fluid. I like Penzoil syncromesh.
