N/A,
South Dakota
Let me first start off by saying that I live in South Dakota, the high today was 24 degrees (above, not below)
So I went out to start my car this morning, and normally I double clutch, back out and let it warm up... I usually start up the car from the cold and then go into reverse and let it warm up -- but something happened this time...
As I went to back out, I tried to put my car in reverse and I grinded it...
So I pulled the ebrake up, let go of the clutch -- but my clutch was sticky -- so I had to dig my foot underneath the clutch and bring it back to the front. So again, I released the ebrake and tried to put my car in reverse, but again I grinded -- I did this for 3 or 4 times and I had no luck backing my car out....
So after 10 minutes of letting my car warm up, I was able to get into reverse and the clutch worked fine...
So I'm at work, and the car has been sitting there for about 8 hours and I went out to start it up, and it did the same thing as it did this morning...
Does cold weather affect the clutch and gears? Or am I experiencing something different?
