I need some help, dont know what to do after spending so much money on this car :notgood: About 2 years ago i send out my tranny to shep to get it fully build for my dream drag car! ( FWD Stage 2 with intermediate shaft and Quaife LSD like they recommend) So now after finally finishing my dream car, now im having issues with this tranny... I installed new fidanza light weight flywheel, act 6 puck with out springs and act 2900 pressure plate.. At first it was shifting fine but after 700 miles now im having problems with 3rd and 4th gear. i was told to change the master cylinder because it look like it was leaking, so i change it and also change the the slave cylinder just in case.. I did the proper clutch adjustment and im still having the same problem... Can some one please help me out or walk me to the right dirrection, going crazy.. Thanks

some body please help me out, dont know what to do.. I dont wanna take down the tranny if is not necessary!
 
You probably crapped out the springs on the 3/4 hub and slider or damaged a shift fork. Either way the transmission has to come apart.
 
Why don't you call John, as you just purchased the transmission from him.
 
I think im gonna end up doing that, it really suck if this tranny went bad in about 2 years.. I never beat on this tranny, only one time to the track with a stock set up and a few dyno pass.... I hope i still have some type of warranty since i perchase everything need from them to avoid any headaches, i just cant find the invoice from when i bought it
 
:cry: Man... Ok i would be calling sheper tomorrow to see what can we do about this junk of tranny LOL

Before you go and call his transmissions that seem to work fine for nearly everyone else junk you should consider the fact that the clutch more than likely is the part causing the problem.

You said you installed the clutch. You probably did something wrong.
 
i would be taking the tranny down next week.. The tranny was working fine, after driving the car for a bit and dyno is when everything starting to happen. So i was told to change the slave cylinder because it felt like i was loosing pressure on the pedal went shifting to 3rd! Keep in mind everything was put in new, clutch, pp, and flywheeel...

The junk part it was just a joke because i try to be funny sometimes, and if that offended any one here i would apologized.... I know he build good tranny, i just havent put my to the test and it seems like something went wrong. but i will be taking down the tranny to see what the problem is........
 
Ok guys, i took the tranny down yesterday and everything on the clutch looks good.. No burn spot on the flywheel and plenty of meat on the clutch, trowout bearing and pp also looks good...

So im guessing is a tranny issue :hmm: Dont know why the clutch wasnt realeasing at all
