Hey guys, just posting looking for some ideas for my fmic. I seen the new EVOS have some type of screen/not mesh in front of their intercooler. I want to do a similar thing to protect mine from these horrible roads and pebbles. I'm not looking to spend $150 on a piece of metal mesh from Grillcraft, just looking to get some type of screen to protect it, nothing fancy.

Any ideas? please post pics if you have one on, thank you!

Yeah that's like what i've been seeing on some of these cars, i'm not sure that I want to go with the metal look, i'd prefer like a see-through screen or something.. maybe i'll just go to the nearest lowes and buy a roll..:]

I just don't know if its going to melt ? LOL

Since I drive my car mainly during the winter, I'm using black fiberglass window screen. It's kept all the sand/salt/rock from filling up and making a mess of my fmic. Also when viewing the car from angles, you can't tell it has an fmic until you're looking straight ahead at it.

you can make something for cheap using hardware cloth from lowes or home depot. its like chicken wire but smaller openings and usually make of flat metal so its a nice shinny silver.

here is a picture of some that i used for a different project. it came in a 4 by 8 sheet for 9.99 at lowes.
