My car smokes under full boost a greyish white color is it the head gasket or turbo. the turbo has some shaft play

something burning coolant.. If you have terrible shaftplay it could be a blown seal in your turbo if it is watercooled... Or as said above head gasket is also prime suspect.

White smoke is usually coolant; however in the case of a blown turbo, it's quite likely to be oil burning. Some synthetic oils apparently burn whitish-gray. Also, burning coolant tends to have that characteristic sweet smell. If you have noticeable shaft play, particularly in and out shaft play, your turbo is probably toast.

To be sure, take off the lower intercooler pipe and look for copious amounts of oil. Also, a compression test/leakdown test wouldn't be a bad idea.
