Anyone tried doing the single spring mod to the greddy type s? My friend did it on his evo and it sounds awesome and he has no more stalling problems or idle problems or anything. ( he has it recirculated but was still having problems sometimes just like in my car which is also recirculating )

Here is how you do the mod : ssm

I think I'm going to give it a shot on mine as well. His bov sounds perfect now .. it's louder than stock but not loud or obnoxious or anything like that. Car runs perfect and no flutter! :thumb:

Well I did the mod and I have to say it WELL worth it. If I free rev the car and let the revs drop it goes straight into idle ... doesn't dip down or anything. BOV sounds really nice and is very loud recirculated too. :thumb:

Which spring did you leave in, the larger or the small?

at what point are both springs needed? I ask because I'm dialed in at 24 psi as well but only getting about 21 on my guage. However I pressurized the system and it wasn't hissing out by the bov, however anything over 20 psi my tester pops off. I had this little "boost leak" problem even before the ssm. Thanks.

They said both springs are need for anything above 21psi or at least to fully open 25+ is needed... I dunno man, the Greddy is really cool and really stupid at the same time with all the nipples and springs in it to make it more complex... ;)

this was never really a concern to me.. but what is the greddy rated at.. im going to be running a 50 trim soon. and i have a greddy type s.. and i will be seeing more than 20 psi sooner or later.. makes me wonder if i soudlve just stuck with my hks ssqv..
