Just before full boost and during full boost the bov flutters and i lose about 3-4psi after spiking. it wont hold (at 15psi). I have tried tightening it down but that does no good it still leaks. Is the spring bad?

I saw an EVO with a broken greddy bov at TOPSpeed in atlanta on the dyno

the diaphragm (sp?) gave out and anything over 10 psi it would open at wot which resulted in rapid-fire-fuel-cut and alot of black smoke

maybe try another bov?

The top nipple is hooked up to a vaccum line and the bottom one is just open. It just recently started doing this. I just replaced it with the type rs to see if that helped and that one does the same thing! I dont know, could a vaccum leak cause it?

After I installed the type rs, I searched tons of threads on how to adjust it and followed them. the bov still flutters in third gear at about 1/2 throttle then at full throttle it doesnt. it makes a clean sound at low boost when I let go of the throttle but high boost it flutters. I have had the screw almost as tight it will go and as loose as it will go and every setting in between to no prevail! I dont know what to to??
