Hi there, friend of mine is thinking about getting an e-manage for his Nissan 240SX with a SR20DET ( european version ). At the moment he only has minor mods, but is looking to upgrade the turbo in the near future.

So the question is : If you install an e-manage, do you have to change any settings or can you just leave it alone for the time being ? Does it do anything at all if you don't adjust any settings ? Does it leave the ECU alone as long as you don't do anything with it ?

With the bigger turbo he plans getting it adjusted professionally on a dyno but for now it shouldn't do anything.

Anyone got any experience with the e-manage ?

After sitting it you can use the 5 knobs to tune the fuel without using laptop BUT that NOT worth the money of the emanage.

I'm waiting for the new BLACK emanage... AS I HEARD it's fully piggyback ECU that can change MAF to MAP system with auto tuning function. Or I may go for 1G DSMLink/MAFT instead

is the e-manage system better then the DSM Link system? Is it more reliable/stable or just as good? I was looking into possibly getting one, but I'm not sure whether I am going to get DSMLink or e-Manage

I've got emanage right now on my dsm. I'm switching over to dsmlink its a better design overall. You get a ton more features with dsmlink like stutterbox, global fuel correction instead of just adj airflow to compensate for bigger injectors. The emanage is ok it does what it needs to but after tuning a friends car with dsmlink i've pretty much fallen in love with it.

Now that the e-Manage Ultimate is out... do you guys still think DSMLink and GM MAFT is the way to go?
