Alright so here are my mods, Forced Performance 4" Intake, Ported Big 16g EVO 3, Ported SBR cast manifold, 3" Turbo-back Exhaust, Tial 38mm External Wastegate, Walbro 255, Weapon R FPR, Boost Gauge, Precision Fmic with 2.5" piping + 3" Gm Maf/Maft combo (blow through). Hks SSQV Bov, Aem Wideband, Visteon Radiator.

I plan on buying a set of 1150's for injectors and I also have a Greddy E-01 Boost controller laying in my room (which I know I can map the e-manage on) but giving my setup, which one would you chose? My car is a 95 Talon Tsi, btw.

1150cc injectors. Isnt that a bit overkill?

DSMlink is going to be the choice of most. But I think the E-Manage has come a long way. You can do a lot of things with it, and you dont have to have your ECU chipped, or epromed. The E-manage ultimate is supposed to be a nice piece, and is something I myself am considering.

Well, if that is going to be your eventual goal, then perhaps saving to get a full standalone system is best. If you cant afford that, then using the DSMlink to its full potential may get you by.

Forgive my asking but why would you use such high flowing injectors with a 16g...? Are you planning on going bigger later? If you were using for example 750cc injectors then you could go with an AFC and save some dough. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but it just seams like overkill to me. Aside from this I'd personally go with Megasquirt!

EDIT: ah crap I just read above post...megasquirt is what I'd do.

DSMlink

1150cc will only be good enough for around 52-54lbs/min worth of airflow with E85. That 35R will easily outflow that amount if you push it. Don't be one of those guys who purchases a 35R and runs it at 25 PSI.

I strongly agree with Jeff, make sure its a t3 .82 hotside not no mitsibushi bolt on crap. Run it at 30+psi, I ran a 35r variant (SC61) at 33psi, I saw 58/lbs min which was the highest I recorded. Keep in mind thats in Florida heat, normally id see 54-55lbs/min which is good for low to mid 500's. If you plan on using a 2g mas DONOT run it over 30psi (52lbs min) without knowing what your doing with "fake maf, VE table", it will start dropping airflow counts which can cause all sorts of bad things to happen.

Nah, you can run higher than 650's. People claim to have run 880's with no problems.

Hmmm... Where are you hearing this?
Sure maybe you could run 880s and an SAFC, but only if you would like to have your timing advance like crazy. I would highly suggest not to go above 660cc injectors if you are running just an afc.

If you dont have facts you shouldnt post them. If someone decides to act upon those statements, they could end up wasting alot of there money.

Hey, easy there.:shhh:

I have personally tuned a SAFC car with 850cc injectors and it did work ok. 3rd logs showed minimal blips knock that were only 0-2 counts, or less than 1.0 degree of knock retard. In my book that is not even detonation. I understand what you are saying about the insane timing that you would end up running with a large airflow compensation with the 850's. But a good tune can be achieved with a few tuning tricks.

SAFC with 850cc

You are removing around 40% of the airflow so you would need to retard base timing at the CAS to around 1 BTDC. That solves the insane timing curve problems.

SAFC with 1150cc

Run E85 and do the same above. It can easily be done.

But then again, this is the simplest fuel piggyback out there. DSMlink is a much better option.

I got some 950's for my plan on E85, but I'm currently on a B16g.
Logs in 3rd show(on pump) that I'm at 60% IDC's.
As with E85 your 255 walbro isnt going to be enough to support your 35r for long. Anyone have a link to a Specific gravity calculator to get to the bottom of this?
From what I remember in past research, a 255 walbro is good enough for 500whp on E85, but thats it.
Get a stainless feed/return line thats bigger than your factory fuel line while your deep into the fuel system. Thats something I still need to do as well.

Edit, and DSMLink or Megasquirt if you want to take the hard way.
dsmlink = user friendly IMO

Yeah I know of a local guy running dual 255's, I'm sure i'll eventually be taking that route too.

Anyone fill me in on what a DSMlink does that a Greddy E-manage cant do though. The only thing Im aware of off the top of my head is a 2 step-launch control option.
