I have a friend that has an unused E-Manage that he is willing to let me have for $100. I'm not familair with this one, but looks to be similar to a SAFC. Has anyone had any experiance with this? I'm likely going to get it anyway and just sell it later if I don't use it. He picked it up cheap and has decided that he wants to go standalone for the 3si. Anyway, thoughts on this? Good, Bad, or Ugly...
 
If u buy the timing harness($75) and the support tool software($100) than it works great. 10 times better than a safc. My brother runs that setup with 1000cc injectors and e85 with no issues.
 
i had one in my car for a but before i bought my MAFT. it isn't bad if you have all the hardware to go with it. do your research on yahoo forums and you can find about 90% of what you are looking for as far as wiring goes. and if you can find a junkyard with a 2G that had the upgrade stereo ( AMP under the passengers seat) then you found the connector to make your own ignition harness. not sure if it is a 2G thing but i seem to remember it not working correctly with the ignition part hooked up to my car, but that could have been my e-manage tho. worse case scenario find a set of DSM injectors and resistor pack. get all the wiring stuff squared away and i bet you could sell it to a Honda guy on e-bay for $300 easy.
 
Sounds good. I really think i'm going to get it. I'm looking to do more off an overall Autocross setup and I'm going to start by really pushing the 14b for now and then likely move up to a small 16g when I find one. I figure for the money I would have into it, it would be a fun street/cross car.

Ya, they are going on Ebay for about $200-$300 so I figure if nothing else, I can just sell it later.
 
I'm not sure exactly what all harness I have with it. The unit only has 2 plugs and I have two harnesses to go with it. Does that mean that I have both the injector and ignition harnesses? I tried to google for some pics of the harness, but I don't have any luck. I can post up a pic of the harnesses if that would help. Also there is something else that I have no idea what is wired between the harnesses. It's a black box with 4 yellow wires coming out of it and 2 other colored wires. Any thoughts on this?
 
if you can post up a pic of the box for it that would help a little. not sure exactly what it is but i don't think you need it. maybe some kind of injector filter... who knows, but if you have two harnesses for the e-manage you more than likely have both ign and inj harnesses one has like 10 pins and the other has 14, i think...?
 
I'll try to post a pic of it tonight. Last night was busier than I expect it would be.
 
Ok, here is a pic of the extra box that I have no clue what it is. It really doesn't have any markings on it and I'm too lazy tonight to put my shoes on to go out and get a screwdriver.

Hmm...ya, I could see that. It is tapped into what I am assuming is the injector harness. In that harness there are 6 sets of wires in matching colors. It tags 4 wires, on of each color and then goes inline to the other harness. That would make sense if it was using the fuel timing to calculate the ignition timing. I guess the original guy got this for a turbo integra or something and then decided to go with something else. Sold it to my friend, and now I have it. Supposedly it has never actually been run on any cars.
