Hello.

I was looking to purchase a new air filter. I wanted to buy something to replace the big box I have and I found a 3" adapter for the air filter that attatches to the MAF. I saw the Greddy Airinix air filter on this website (http://www.cardomain.com/shoplist~b~GReddy~t~Universal+Air+Filters) but it only measures the applications in MM. I did a conversion from MM to Inches but none of the ones they have seen to fit a 3" adapter. Also, they have a small and large application, I am not sure which one would fit my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou in advance.

Btw - I have a 96 gs-t

The thing about filters, is one company's can't really be made better than another's. The only thing that I see different, is that K&N has an outstanding warantee. Whereas, with the "ebay special" filters, you get it, you use it, and that's that.

You can buy something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AIR-FILTER-MAF-ADAPTER-95-96-99-ECLIPSE-TURBO-GSX-GST-R_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33659QQihZ018QQitemZ280005238459QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
that includes the filter as well as the adapter. Even if you don't use the filter, you will need the adapter regardless of what you use. For the filter, don't get duped into buying stuff from GReddy and Injen and the like.

If you want a K&N brand filter, get this one:
K&N Filter # RE-0930
It's 3" diamter and 6" in length. It'll match up perfectly with the adaper.

Dope!

Thanks for the quick response. Yea, I had a drop in K&N filter but I was reading up and alot of people said to just remove the box and get an adapter with filter. I guess I should just go with the K&N which is always a good choice. I was just debating whether there was a huge difference between the HKS, Greddy and K&N. Im guessing there really isnt other than the price difference.

I appreciate the help. Thanks!
