Ok i installed my greddy turbo timer today, everything went perfect, but when i set it and get out of my car and say after 20 sec it it shuts off but my doors unlock WTF, now i have a viper alram, but twice it work right, like if i set it for 20 sec and after that 20 sec,, about 15 sec after, it beeps(alarms itself) then 10 sec later it locks, that is what it is suppose to do and did but now its not .... i tried getting out and hitten the botton didnt work, what could it be??? :dsm:

Simple...

if the engine (Greddy) is on the the key MUST still be in the ignition... right? (at least thats what the alarm thinks)

when the key (greddy) goes off your alarm unlocks the doors as a courtesy to you.

if the key (greddy) is in the ignition and the car is running, you must not be meaning to activate the alarm so it ignores you until it goes off.

Everything is working exactly like its supposed to the way you have it set up. That just isn't the way you wanted it to work. :thumb:

Check some of the prev threads for Ideas on how to get the alarm to not "see" the ignition and thus ignore the turbo timer, and let you arm and lock the doors with out it ignoring or unlocking them.

i had the same problem. i have the viper alarm and auto start, then when i installed my tgreddy turbo timer it did the same thing. there was a trick that i found out after playing with it for a little. but unfortunatly i broke my turbo timer a few months ago and now i dont remember what my trick was. it had something to do with the buttons on my viper key. i think i may have pushed both buttons at the same time (like i wanted my auto start to turn on of off) then i pressed the left key to lock the doors. then i think i pushed the two buttons at the same time again to disengage the auto start so that the turbo timer would shut off hte car instead of my auto start.

sorry this is long and confusing. if you mess around with it and and still can't figure it out, i'd take the car to whoever installed your viper alarm and see what they suggest. the problem is the alarm, not theturbo timer.
post how it turns out

if you don't have an alarm with remote start, you may be able to hook the ign wire to acc instead.
the tt will power ign 1 & 2 but the alarm will monitor accessory and beleive the car is turned off when you remove the key.
thus your alarm will behave as though the tt wasn't there.
if you have cams and have "shake" at idle it might set off the alarm motion sensor however...

well i played around w/ it for about 2 hrs and didnt get to far, see for the viper system they 5 diff settings and the 5th setting locks the doors after 30 sec, so i did that, then i went to store set it for 20 sec after 15 it alarmed (beeped) BUT didnt't lock wtf, then i got home set for 20 sec again and nothen it didnt alarm or lock this is crazy, should I try disconnecting the battery??? I will probaly take it in this week i found a place that works on viper systems  ,

I have the Greddy TT on my 95 GST and i have the stock alarm and it arms itselfs and locks the car as soon as i get out and hit the remote button. It will arm itself right when the TT shuts off , but will be locked when i hit the button, Try hooking the power for the TT into a ACC wire like mentioned above, that may solve the problem.

not the TT, the alarms 12v ignition wire (the one that tells the alarm that the car is on and not to arm). if you go accessory instead and your TT is set up correctly when you turn off the key, the fans will run the engine will run but that acc wire will go dead (the stereo should go off), tricking the alarm into thinking that the ignition is off, and it should work fine...

note this would be on a standard non remote start alarm.

to integrate a remote start and a tt is going to take a professional and relays diodes etc.

i have a viper 791xv (remote start), with a pivot full auto turbo timer. it does support something called armed while driving, if you hold the arm button for 2 seconds the alarm arms itself. but, when the turbo timer turns the car off, the doors unlock. although i do have passive arming and locking enabled, i dont want to have it unlocked and unarmed for 30 seconds while im inside or something. has anyone figured out a solution for this yet?

Well i had my greddy TT for like 2 months now w/ my viper alarm system just the security w/ it, and still when it shuts off my doors unlock i think i might take it in, now is it a wire not connected right or the viper system, i tried every botton????

mitsu

the viper unlocks the doors when yuo turn off the ignition... this is what it does when the tt goes off.

you may ask the m to change the wire for ignition to acc so it will do it when the ignition is turned past acc to off. then you can arm it while the tt is on b/c it won't know the car is running.

otherwise they should be able to disable that feature.
