Great, New noise w/ sound

Did a full pull outside Goliad, Tx when the car bucked harder then usual started to smell funny... Made it home and car was making a random ticking noise from under the valve cover around the third cylinder... Friend says possible collapsed lifter, anyone else had this problem?

The noise in question comes in about 20 seconds in, the tapping before is the injectors. Video was shout about 12in from the VC with and iPhone 5.

For the record, I'm still having filler neck problems... Car is quickly becoming an angsty teenager.

Pull the VC and check it out.

It could be a multitude of different things. Lets just hope it's not bearings. Was the car cold when this video was shot?

No, it was operating temp form a 300 mile drive. It didn't sound like normal dsm lifter tick. This one would start softer the get louder and louder then get real soft and do it again.

could have snapped a lobe ( slim chance but ive seen it before) also rocker arm, cant tell by the video but you wont know until you take the VC off

Sounds lifter/rocker related. It does not sound anything lower end related. GL post your finds once you have the VC off.

I most def will. It's not a constant thing though, you'd figure it would be worse when the engine is cold but I haven't really heard it recently.

Id put my money on the lifters/rockers. Definitly sounds like a problem in the head.
