Govenor at 130?

Ok, I'll ask the stupid question....

Doesn't the computer use the same sensor to determine speed that it uses to determine when to govern the top end of the car? I mean, I know the speedometer and the odometer are connected, so if you put bigger tires on your car your speedo becomes inaccurate (it reads slower and your odo spins slower) and I would assume the same hods true for the governor.

But then again, I could just be ignorant

In reality, yes. But remember that you still can't read that faster speed because all you can see in the speedometer.

Don't forget that your spedo doesn't get calibrated for 100+ MPH from the factory... the faster your going, the more your spedo is going to be off.
