So I traded a used 97 front bumper and head lights for an AEM wideband today. I feel like it was a good trade. I mean I had like 4 sets of head lights and 2 bumpers in storage anyway.

What I was looking to see, is the final word on the AEM unit. Should I sell it and move on to another brand? or use this one for now.

PS: be patient with me, I'm learning. Right now I have more money than I have knowledge about these parts. I just love my 420a's. Which is why my backyard looks like this.

AEM makes perfectly fine wideband systems. They can be used with most engine management systems, as well as by themselves for datalogging.

AEM makes a nice line of gauges, I virtually never had any problems with the UEGO. The only thing it would lack would be the option for having a setting the LC-1 gauges has, which is having it output a 14.7 reading to an EMS while the car is in warm-up mode. This is important for people using closed loop all the time on standalones during hot/cold starts.(its not necessary) If you plan on upgrading to MS in the distant future, you will also have to play with the values to get it right or you will be off somewhere around .5:1 with the values it has for the 0-5v UEGO. Overall it displays AFR perfect, just thought I give the heads-up on data logging for MS. Grounding is at the same point as MS.
