got bored so i got the dremel! and zip ties

ok so i got bored so i decided to open up the vents behind the intercooler so air can flow better out of it. so i took the dremel got some mesh, some zip ties and hacked out the vents!!! well hre are some pics let me know what you think, it took like 5 min at the most.

yea i know thanks.
i think im going to kinda do the same thing inside the bumper right in front of the intercooler to stop dirt from getting into it as easy, its a pain to clean it, at least when it was as dirty as mine was

If i could get a bug delfector for myt FMIC i would, they are a PITA to clean and a screen in front of it could very well do some good.. Of course you will run into the arguement of how much air is being blocked by the screen, but if you were that worried about air flow you wouldn't run a SMIC to start with, So hopefully that doens't come up in this thread

yea like why would you be like it stops air flow, you could get a fmic paint it put a screen infront of it and it would still have better air flow then a stock sidemount ... but yea i just am tired of getting dirt and rocks and bugs in my intercooler ### that stops air flow too ...

thanks yea i dont have the money for a fmic at the moment but when i do i will be putting it on asap. and yea i like the white i think it looks cool, but yea like you said its just a fender wall thats why i didnt care the 1st zip ties i found i used

I didn't have the money either. I got a EVO I FMIC and made my own ghetto ( and I mean GHETTO) piping. However, it was very effective.

what did you make it with, me and my brother did the same thing with his turbo jetta while his pipiing was being made we used some like flex exhaust stuff like from advance auto or something

i know right . oh and btw i didnt i just put everything on the hood to take a picture, and anyway my hood is junk anyway bad clear coat a little rust stop.
