got a 1G BOV already welded to its hard piping and i want to install it on

Are you saying that they welded the BOV to the piping instead of using a flange, a gasket, and two little bolts? That's what it kinda sounds like your saying. It should have been that they welded a flange to the piping and bolted the bov to the flange. If it is done properly you can just undo the two bolts and bolt it onto your piping. If they welded the actual bov to the piping then you're in a real mess.

i just need pics oh how to install it...the BOV is is on the flange which is welded to the pipin....ill try to get that link back up

ok im doing it right now...but cant figure it out
installation instructions or pics anyone? I got the 1G BOV off!

flip the pipe around from what the picture like. rotate the BOV 180*.

then measure and cut your stock UICP and leave a little so you can snug the pipe in there. get hose clamps and clamp the sucker down.

REMEMBER to measure before you do any cutting.

when reinstalling your BOV, if you have a gasket, get some RTV (thin) in ther ebefore you install. remember to wait 10 min before you mate both surfaces for the RTV to harden a bit.

I don't think you'll need more explanation than this. a and b denote the ends of the pipe

*edit* I'm an idiot, didn't see the bov was facing to the right. you're gonna have to either buy the adapter to make the BOV face towards the car, or make your own recirc hose with radiator hose.

you'd still have to flip the pipe to make it fit though

Here is what you ahve to do. Unbolt the BOV from teh pipe and flange. CUT the flange off the pipe, either with a cutting torch, a hack saw, whatever.

Then WELD the flange on to the 2g pipe. If the 2g pipe is not metal (i'm not sure if it is or not, weld a short 1 inch pipe onto the "pipe" flange then run a tube from that pipe to the 2g flange.

There is no way to do this without at least some metal work though. They dont' just "bolt on" you have to modify it to work.

If you want to just leave the BOV attached to the pipe, then cut the 2g pipe such that you can weld the 1g pipe in place of the section of pipe where the 2g POS valve is.

thanx everybody for all the help...i think im gonna get new intercooler piping with a 1G bov flange...i was planning on eventually gettin hard intercooler piping...so it works out..thanks again
