Good reputable performance/import car shop in S.E. MI..

Well to make the long story short I took my tsi to belle tire to get my camber corrected (car pulls to the right due to -1.1 difference in the left front tire). I got quoted $150 for the whole thing which wasn't too bad. Like hour later i got call from them that i need additioanl adjustable ball joints and now the price jumped to $460!!!!! :thumbdown

So I said screw that I'm just going to take it to a pro/import shop since i bet they know more thjen the belle tire boys....

So the question arises are they any good pro/performance/import car shops around S.E. MI. I'm in Canton/Plymouth so the closer the better...

P.S.: if i really need adjustable ball joints i can pick up a set off Ebay for $145 a set rather then thier $140 ea/

first off take it to the dealer and see if te recalls are done they will replace the balljoints for free if they are bad. what are you looking for as far as performance?

already been to the dealer and there are no outstanding recalls on my car..

I just looking for a shop with knowledagble mechanics which know what they are going... not really looking to beef up my car any time soon..

There is nothing wrong with the OEM ball joints i just need adjustyable one to adjust the camber on my left front.

I would think Payn Technologies is the best import tuner shop in Michigan.

A lot of my friends have had work done there, and i'm taking mine in next month. Problem is, they're booked solid during the summer (should say something about their quality). They're also a bit more expensive, but they do a very good job.

The guy who works on DSMs has owned 11, and still owns one. He used to own the fastest clocked DSM, and helped build the one that has the record now i believe.
