####IN FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have developed a hate for porting. the o2 by far was the longest port job Ive done yet. its so damn messy its disgusting. i am covered in filth. . well worth the time and effort though!!tell me what you think.

Not bad except for couple of place.

1. Knock off as much of the divider on the outlet side and port a little more between 3-4 o'clock to make the merging of the wastegate path smoother.

2. More porting can be done between 9-1 o'clock.

3. Clean it up.

i got one problem. i was with the ipod while i was porting and BAM i got a hole now. (see last pic) so how can i fix this? weld? im not trying to re port another o2 housing. Fucc that!

You might be able to repair it with that aluiminum (spelling) welding rod. you heat it up with a propane torch and let the aluiminum drip into the hole. it could work. and suposivly has a lot of strength to it. I saw a group repairing a stainless steel tube with a hole in it at the swap meet by me. It was like watching a live infomerical . But the stuff seemed to work nicely.

Looks good. If all flanges from manifold to o2 are port matched and the hole patched up nicely, I'm sure you'll notice a significant gain especially in spool up but the main thing is boost creep should no longer be an issue. Good job.

its just normal weld. it fixed it up pretty good.

i did think about it. thats why i didn't use it. if you looked through the posts you'll see that i didn't use aluminum welding rod.

The problem with welding cast is this you have two dissimilar(?) materials and they will expand and contract at different rates sometimes it will hold and sometimes it will blow out !Even if you use cast iron rod sometimes it's just a biotch to get it to take . hope you have good luck with it( the weld looks ok from what I can see kinda fuzzy) ! If you lived alittle closer i'd give you one of the three I have laying around !

Looks like a MIG weld to me. Probably hold up for a bit, but will eventually blow out. Just a matter of when.
