I know right, talk about off topic...
. well worth the time and effort though!!tell me what you think.
with the ipod while i was porting and BAM i got a hole now. (see last pic) so how can i fix this? weld? im not trying to re port another o2 housing. Fucc that!
Sorry. Someone else will have to chip in on the welding question.
. But the stuff seemed to work nicely.so hows the porting. besides the hole.oldman said:![]()

Looks good. If all flanges from manifold to o2 are port matched and the hole patched up nicely, I'm sure you'll notice a significant gain especially in spool up but the main thing is boost creep should no longer be an issue. Good job.arash15 said:so hows the porting. besides the hole.
I agree, bite the bullet and port out another housing.blcknspo0ln said:I hate to tell you.. but DO NOT use that o2...
unless you know someone who can weld cast really well, it's just going to be a headache here on in
thats a negative. theres always a solution to a problem.oldman said:I agree, bite the bullet and port out another housing.
its just normal weld. it fixed it up pretty good.killab443 said:Is that a normal weld or did you use the aluimium welding rod?
i haven't even driven on it yet.blcknspo0ln said:question is, how long ago [miles] did you get it done?

yeah i feel ya. but its funny becuase since i got my car i always find myself underneath the hood of it daily. what can i say.....blcknspo0ln said:oh ok, well.. hopefully it will serve you well. the main reason why me and oldman suggested a new o2 is because that weld may blow out over time.. being more of a PITA to remove and reweld.. you know?
i did think about it. thats why i didn't use it. if you looked through the posts you'll see that i didn't use aluminum welding rod.Stapl3 said:Aluminum welding rod? Think about that.
! If you lived alittle closer i'd give you one of the three I have laying around ! I thought you werent suppose to port the bottom(were the wheel sits)arash15 said:heres the turbine housing.what do you think?
