The turbo opening must match the gasket (turbo really) or be smaller.

thats mainly the job of the divider in the center of the collector area. it makes the exhaust go into the turbine housing, instead of it bouncing off the collector and heading bad towards the head.WatchItExplode said:Theoretically, there is a benefit to the manifold runners being wider than the ports in the head. The divider is an attempt to somewhat seperate the pulses of exhaust the motor puts out. You're right. I have posted that couple of times and found out it's much easier to just tell people to port it, easier than trying to explain to people, who has very little concept of how a turbo system work, why they might not need to because it goes against what is said on the vfaq.daren_p said:I think alot of the time this isn't needed. yeup! the 16g doesnt even come close to hitting anything. BUT now for this damn o2 sensor!! its not budging! any tips? i used tons of wd-40 and a 7/8 wrench but i dont want to strip the sensor. i want to port that o2 housing today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!help me.oldman said:You're right. BTW my GT12 actuator has more travel than my old 16g so I think different actuators produces different results.

. I would think the proper O2 socket and a breaker bar would give you the best chance of removing it without stripping it. What about heating it up? Just remember to put antiseize on it when you put it back together for next time

FP2 would be perfect for you, the FP3 is designed for a stroker engine. BTW it was only $60 off their regular selling price of $429.
