Hey guys, im just wondering if i could get some suggestions on a good brake setup for my car. Very strong engine, not sure what its making for power, but its on about 23psi on a E3-16g and a fresh engine, tuned on my V3 lite, but im not a knoledgeable tuner so it could probably make alot more power if i could get it in for some dyno tuning....(plans are for around 400hp)
It is a DD street car and i go to the drag strip every now and then. My brakes are going bad and so its time for another upgrade, cause i cant bring myself to buy stock replacement parts....
The car is a 92 GSX (6bolt, 4bolt rear) non-abs , but was built in OCT. '91, so i think it only has the week single piston calipers, but im really not sure how to tell... Im using 17" wheels and some eibach prokit springs i plan on putting on during the brake job, but i also plan on getting a 16" setup for the strip...so i dont want nothing to big....
So what should i do as far as rotors, calipers, and pads? i think im pretty set on some hawk HPS pads up front, but not sure about the rears. Should i get a set of dual piston calipers off a 93 or 94 model gsx or some 3000gt calipers? unless those are to big... let me know what you guys think , thanx!
