So my battery seems to be draining quite fast an dosnt want to stay charged, i tested my alternator an it reeds good...what else should i check? (An my battery is good, i used it for 8 months in my 79 datsun without a hitch)

Is your battery good? If it is you will have to see what kind of a drain you have. Hook a multimeter between the negative post and negative battery cable and set it on amps. Should be 30mA or less. If not start pulling fuses without opening doors until it goes away.

Chexk your battery power and ground lines. Look flr any tears in it, if there are then its possible youre experiencing a parasitic draw. Since you say it doesnt want to stay charged, id check from the battery to the alt, battery to ground, and alt to ground. Check them carefully and let us know what you found.

Check out this link from Eric the Car Guy on YouTube. It's for the issue you're having. He breaks it down Barney-style for you.

He's great.

Cheers.

I used to rebuild starters and alternators. 90% of the time if nothing is wrong with the alternator it's going to be connections. If its not your connections. It's going to be a broken or corroded wire somewhere.

Same thing happened to my 2g, after checking the battery and alternator I found that one of the lines had a nice tear in it and that was causing it to die. Replacing the wire and the connections on it and now I havent had any problems
