Ok Im looking to get a new UI pipe and a new intake for my new car next thursday. Im looking to upgrade my Intake with DSM-2g Curved Comp Intake Pipe for GMAF w/all tubes
and was going to get a GM MAF with it and the new GM MAF Translotar for the car. But then when I was searching for Upper intercooler pipes I was going to get the 2 1/2" BLOW THRU Upper Intercooler Pipe which is the three peice set from Dejon all the parts come from Dejon and it said it can use a GMAF30 mass air sensor. Now my question is....

Is the GMAF30 mass air sensor and the GM MAF the same thing?

Stock cars don't come with the GMAF30 mass air sensors do they?

If they are different things I know what the GM MAF does it regulates the air flow.

But if they are different what is the purpose of getting the GMAF30 mass air sensor and what does it do?

GMAF30 is just their own part # for a 3" gm maf. Look on their website under electronics and you will see. It is the same as any other 3" stock gm maf you will find.
 
Ok well I sent a e-mail to dejonpowerhouse.com and asked them about the three peice dejon UIP. This UIP requires a GMAF30 on it and the translotar. And they noted on the e-mail that....
"THis allows the BOV to be vented to Atm and you can adjust the air/fuel ratio and install larger fuel injectors."

So obviously this takes the stock MAS off the Intake pipe and put its on the UIP correct?

I know venting to the atmosphere is a very bad thing for DSM's but what they Quoted above.... "THis allows the BOV to be vented to Atm and you can adjust the air/fuel ratio and install larger fuel injectors." is this saying this setup allows to have a BOV that vents to the atmosphere without any damage done?

What hole have you been hiding in? Thia is the main reason for running a gm maf in blow threw application.
 
Well as you see im a newbie at this still haven't got the car yet never had a dsm before never had a turbo before :)
