Well I jus thave one question. Can you get fuel cut from a gm maf with a maft on a really cold day if the car is running to rich? It doesn't do it when the temp guage is exactly in the middle but if it moves towards the cold it hits fuel cut. Would puttin a piece of cardboard over the radiator help warm the car up? It cools down a lot when cruiseing on the highway. I am going to replace the thermostat as i think its staying open.

Yes, fuelcut in the ECU is based on airflow. On days that the air is colder, more dense, you are much more likely to hit fuelcut, especially if you have the MAFT set a little too rich. What are your fueltrims like?

that theromostat sounds like is is stuck open and its probably staying in open loop! I had bought a special thermostat that would stay open if it went deffective so it would not overheat and I started recoginizing that I was getting crappy gas milage.

yeah, im going to change that over theis up coming weekend. Is it in the same spot at the 7bolts?

This is completely wrong. What jeffo said is exactly what is happening, air is denser on a cold day, the ecu reads that as being "too much" air and activates fuel cut. Turn your boost down 1-2psi.
