I don’t think I found any information about the problem Im having so I decide to make this one. I have a 1G Eclipse GST with a GM MAF and the Translator. My problem is that when the car get up and go the engine shut off and when this happen I let off the gas the engine will turn back on. It do not do this while on idle. It normally do this on a get up and go satiation. Its totally embarrassing on the stop light specially on top of the hill. When the car on steady speed on 45 to 50 MPH it does not have this problem. It seem to be a fuel cut??? Am I getting too much fuel or I had a bad MAF? All the MAFT dials are set to 2 but not the AUX. The AUX is set to 0. The MAFT shows a 7 blanks after the engine shuts off and comes back on during acceleration. The books said “Unit detected a reset while the engine was running” Why it’s doing this? Is the engine getting too much fuel to cause fuel cut or its a bad MAF? Im out of ideas. Please help. Thank you.

Fuel system upgrade

255 LPH fuel pump
450cc injectors
Fuel pressure set at 27 to 30 PIS at idle

Your fuel pressure should be 37.5psi on 1g, not sure why you have it at 20psi

Other than that i can understand what your saying.. Does your car stutter when you press the gas and turn back on when you take your foot off??

hell my hayes manual for my 95 fwd says it should be up to 60psi...

for some reason your car, isn't getting enough pressure in the fuel rail, and yea this could be the problem. If you have a fuel pressure regulator thats adjustable.. try some diffrent settings. Check your fuel pump, it could be going bad..check the lines, no crimps or dings dents or leaks..If all that is well then we'll assume the computer needs some tuning for the parts that have been installed?? anyone know if thats needed for the fuel system he's got here?

i would change the fuel pressure like metioned above. i had a maft for awhile and its a pain in the ass to tune and i did hit fuel cut with it frist off how much boost are you running? wideband? did you make sure the injector size setting on the maft is correct? your fuel system could handle no more then 14psi i would say at the very leat get a safc2 and a wideband. when i tuned with the safc2 and the wideband on 550s i was running 25psi on a big 16g with 93 octane and it went nut. also if you live in area where the weather changes alot plan on making adjustments to the tune everytime you go for a ride.
