The CBV/BOV recirc's for a reason, to keep the turbo spinning a little bit faster between shifts, to reduce lag. Granted the DSM system is definetly not very effective at doing this, and I've seen better. But I'd like to see a comparison between the gains achieved by recirc'ing and venting(to reduce turbulance). I'm going to try both when I get my MAF, maybe I'll let you guys know if I find anything useful.
Now, someone really worried about losing spool or who wants to decrease lag between shifts will use the ECU's(stock or EPROM) rev limiter and keep their foot on the gas between shifts to avoid the turbo from losing spool.
