2G GM MAF Translator question

Hey guys, this is probably a silly question, but I wasn't the one that ordered the part so I'm just curious. I was wondering if a 1g MAF Translator would work on a 2g? I'm ordering a GM MAF today, but last week I wasn't the one that ordered the translator, and manual for it is talking only about a 1g. I'm not sure if the plugs are different or anything, we ordered it off of MAPerformance. Any feedback is really appreciated. Thanks!

Get the one for the second generation so it will fit.

Just cut the 1g connector and rewire into 2g connector.
