Well im not sure if this is the right place to tell about a problem i have but it does relate with my body work of my 1991 eagle tsi....anyways yesterday i was at my girlfriends place staying the night and i woke up to find my car having two huge dents in the side of my driver door. on these two dents were mud tracks and the dent is able to be noticed inside my car door. i looked around my car and found another damaged spot with my licence plate being completely dented and im pretty sure the bumber behind the plate is cracked. all together three massive kicks to my car were done. i figured it could only be one person to do this and this is my girlfriends ex boyfriend. when i looked at the two kick marks on the side of my door i noticed a shoe print and i told anne to get her ex's shoes to see if they match. they matched exactly! so i called the cops on the kid and he admitted to me and 4 other people that he kicked the car door in. when the cop arrived he also admitted to the cop and he would pay for all the damage done. the cop asked me if i wanted him arrested but i didnt want any more drama with this nut.the cop documented the situation and said if her ex refused to pay for me to take him to civil court and the cop would be my witness to the incident. anyway the door is completely messed up and looks like a wave. i checked the whole door and my side mirror is messed up to prolly from the force of the kick. i want this phsyco to pay big time for this and he has said he will. so what im asking is for some advise to get the most money out of this kid to fix the damages. i should take my car to a number of body shops starting this week cause i want the money ASAP. thanks for reading.. any advice will be appreciated.

Get three body shop quotes. Get him to cut you a check for the cheapest one. Then you go to the junkyard, buy a door and a bumper cover and take them to be painted/color matched. Then you can have the rest of the cash to do whatever.

Anyways, I think you kind of answered your own question. The thing is, its kind of hard to get the highest price to get your car fixed. Most body shops will want to give you their best price! .. So I guess go to a number of shops, like you mentioned, and see who will charge the most. Make sure you get every single little thing that the guy damaged. Good luck with it.

Then find the best three shops, get the quotes. That way you sound fair when you say, I got three quotes and he will then pay out instead of giving trouble because if you go to court it can get a bit ugly because you might not get as much as you wanted because the car just has to be put back to its condition, (used car use condition) so your not going to get as mujch as the places can quote.

Hit em quick and have him pay out and youll come out better.

First you should put his shoe on and go and kick all of the peoples cars of different ethnic backgrounds in the area. Then you basically frame him as a racist running around commiting hate crimes(dont forget to plant a kkk outfit in his car). After that, bring him the most expensive quote you can find(you may have to deliver this to the hospital room he is in). To put shame into this as well, "accidentally" leave some pictures of you and his ex in the envelope with the quote from the dealership. This works every time!
