hey whatsup everyone, i'm getting my first DSM next week.

it's a red 1997 GST with 3k miles on a new 7 bolt, 2k on an IPT transmission(auto), 1k on evoIII turbo. also has new stock struts.

turbo back exhaust, intake, evoIII 16g turbo, megan racing front and rear strut bars. 02 and manifold are ported along with the turbo. manual boost controller, boost and EGT guages, etc. currently running 15lbs of boost.

i'm paying 8500 for it, seems like a pretty good deal to me, car is in excellent condition.

just out of curiosity approx. how much power is this setup making? 230-250ish? i don't know all that much about these cars. i know it's alllllllllll in the tuning bla bla i'm just looking for a guess. ahhaa. thanks.

There is no way to tell by the information you have given, also Auto transmition changes things too. I would say your in the ball park though....pics are always a big help with any subject.

I'd say it's a good deal, but without knowing more, and not being able to check it out in person really puts a damper on us helping you, to an extent. But will try if you still need more help.

hey man dont want to make you feel bad or dissapoint you.. welcome to dsm's.. but 8500 for a auto front wheel drive with rebuilt engine is a huge rip... i sold my 95 tsi all wheel drive turbo automatic with 93k original miles for 4200.. your paying waaay too much..

Ya dude I'd keep looking, I just picked up this 95 gsx with all the mods in my profile, with under 10 k on all parts(engine, trans, turbo) for 6k:dsm:

Try finding some thing that has a blown up engine or needs a head thats what i did and i got two for 500 bucks. Then just buy a crate engine for 750 to 1000 bucks you will save money in the end.

thats cool.. i used to go to canada for hockey every single summer.. thats cool to have one there.. not to sound like a d*ck to anyone else but i've never seen such a clean car besides mine, i take pride in keeping the paint and all very very clean.. haha

around here all the dsms have either 150k miles on it or are COMPLETELY riced out and they still sell for 10 grand. hahah. i'd love to pick one up cheap and fix it up but i don't have the time and i need it to be reliable as it will be my daily driver. thanks for your input though. AWD isn't really necessary for me, because i don't race from stops if at all, so lighter weight doesn't seem like too bad of a trade off. as for the auto part, yeah it sucks. hahaha. wish it was stick but my camaro got totaled over a month ago and i've been driving my grandpa's olds since, so i'm really just dying to get into a car. my dad is really into the whole clean carfax lowwwww miles etc. kinda car. this is the only one i've ever found that's close. that's why i ended up getting a camaro instead of a mitsu in the first place. don't wanna seem close-minded to all of your input, just i've been looking every day for the last month, and 3 months before i got my camaro and these things just aren't around by me.

I got my 97 GSX 5 speed with 75k for $6100

I'd say 8500 for an Auto GST is kind of a rip....IMO

But id say its weighing in around those numbers
