I went for a drive and the next morning there was a puddle of gear oil on my driveway, i inspected it and found it was leaking from the seal that the transfer case shaft goes into the gearbox. Does anyone have the part # for the seal? Also has anyone ever experienced this problem before, and what might be the cause?

Nothing from the wise men yet.

Solution
I'm not a wise man but Ill post you the info your looking for from an experienced member who has had this problem. My transfer case leaks and there was a recall on it but they wont replace it and there trying to give me the run around. I fixed the leak but the part its self was recalled so who wouldn't press to save $800 on a new transfer case for there DSM LOL.

The part number for the seals are as followed.
MD723202 Input shaft seal
MR983368 Output shaft seal
MD727784 Transfer case breather

I would replace all the seals, inspect everything, and clean everything for reassembly to insure that it is not damaged.

Yes. They are all for the transfer case only. The housing gasket for the transfer case can be made with RTV or you can buy the OEM gasket for it like I did for $6 or so from JNZ Tuning. If you choose to go with the RTV. Make sure you don't go crazy with it like allot of people do.

Give DSMGraveyard a call at (269)226-4463. They might have a few in stock. If they dont they can get it out to you direcctly from mitsubishi for really cheap.
