Every time I turn the ignition/acc on the 10amp fuse to my gauge cluster pops. The lights are not effected, just the tach, speedometer, coolant temp etc

I took out the cluster completely and the fuse still pops
Is there anything else connected to the gauge fuses?

Any suggestions appreciated

You are looking at some form of a wiring issue. Probably a power wire that is touching ground. You will need to start tracing wires from the back of the gauge cluster to the fuse box, then to the ACC wires.

This happened to me when my alt was overcharging and spiking to 18volts. What happened was that the board in the under dash fuse box got completely fried. Not saying that's what you have, but it's something to check. Mine smelled really bad when I pulled it of the car.

Im going through all the wires now......very big PITA

Im pretty sure my voltage regulator on my alternator is going, but its undercharging...wont put it out of the equation though

There was a short to my autometer oil temp gauge, it was not connected in any way to my stock gauge, but I fixed it and somehow that was the culprit to my stock gauges fuse going out.
