gauge bezel question..

the gauges are hitting the stock instrument panel, any ideas on how to modify it so it fits? ive been looking at it but im not sure, do i have to cut the stock plastic part?

yea the extreme would be to cut the stock plastic, horrible idea imo. the gauge bezel is nice but you are really limited on the depth of the gauge you put in there.

what you can do is get a ring spacer or make one so the gauge is pushed out more towards you if you want a cleaner flushed look.

the glowshift gauges come with those optional shade/visor which acts as a spacer helps a bit. you have to be creative with this one

When i got my Prosport gauges, they came with some visors also and i kinda like the look of the visors because it is different to me. Although they do act like great spacers because the way my a-pillar gauge pod was made it didnt have enough room for the bracket to hold the gauges in, so i cut the bracket a little bit and just put a very small piece of wood and wrapped it with electrical tape so i could "find tune" how big i wanted to piece of wood, to say the least you cant see anything but its rigged beyond belief behind the pillar but it works But you drive a DSM, you should know how to think out side the box on this one

In which case if you do you have the same problem I had when installing the boost gauge on my girlfriend's car. I was lazy and just broke off one of the mounting studs on the gauge. The other one cleared into the empty space. I was probably lucky I didn't mess the gauge up but it worked. Good luck.

well i already got em installed and that AEM was a bi*** so they are going there...i dont have any problem trimming it as it will be covered up by the gauge..so i just need to find a way to make it fit flat...
