is there supposed to be a gasket between 16g j pipe and the turbo? if yes, where can i buy it? I need to know this before i install my b16g.
thanks
Paul

I just used a bead of blue RTV, I let it dry a bit before putting the j-pipe on though so it didnt squeez all out. I boost leak tested my car to 20psi with no leaks there.

or you can buy some gasket maker from any auto stores and make the gasket yourself :sneaky:

Any Mitsu dealership will have them too. It's the same gasket between the j-pipe and the 14b on any 1G.... I had a cracked gasket on my old 14b and it leaked. Then I tried RTV with no luck. Just spend the .75 at the dealership and you'll have no problems. :thumb:
thanks guys, :) i will go and get one from dealer
p.s. can i use j pipe off 14b? or do i need a bigger one for 16g? :talon:

a 14b and 16g use the same compressor housing so yes you can use the same one.
