Gas needle always jumping?

Well I'm turning on my car pretty soon and thought I had fixed everything but now I remember I've always had a problem with my gas needle. If the tank were full or close to empty it would never read right. Always yous to go up and down randomly. What do you guys think?

Yeah, mine is all messed up anyways, but when it says E, even though I know its far away from it, I go and fill up.
I know some people that just drive it until the gas light comes on. You could try this.

The first 1/4 on my car is about 50 miles of driving.
The next 1/4 is 100 miles
The next 1/4 is 75 miles
The next 1/4 is 50 miles
Then it goes below E and I have about another 20 miles, then the low fuel light, then 20 miles.

Yeah, all our gas gauges suck.

Wow i thought it was just me , and btw i have been driving it with the needle like that for the past year .....I would feel more comfortable knowing how much gas is really in there

Yea the dsm gas gauge is not the greatest. You would have better chance to know how much gas there is by cutting a hole in the tank and making a dipstick for it. Now wouldnt that be funny.

Tried searching a fix couldn't find anything, anyone find anything on here on how to fix it?
