On my autometer autolite boost meter, which is new, about 1 month old, the needed jumps sometimes from 14 to 10 and viceversa. This jump is veru sudden and then comes back to the constant psi. Have anyone experienced this before?

yes.. this happens at WOT (wide open throttle), at 3rd and 4th gear.. now.. what is a boost spike?... can you please explain?

boost spike is where the turbo will actually boost to its limit (spike) and then drop back down to the normal boost of the current RPM that you are at.

I wouldn't say limit if thats the case then when i hit the gas and let the boost come up it should hit like 27psi (turbo is capable of) and I'm only set at 16psi. actually it has to do somewhat with rotating mas and all your getting the turbo up so speed when on the pedal the boost is coming up quickly and then boostcontroller stops it and the turbo is spooling quickly it cannot stop that fast you'd brake that pore shaft if it came up so say a set 16psi everytime. but there is a way more detailed description on the sit someware. I'm not exactly correct hear but close. but good luck
