Fuel Pressure gauge needle jumping

I have searched but to no satisfaction. I have installed a Aeromotive Afpr with a fuel pressure gauge. When I disconnect the vacuum line to set it the needle goes back and forth by about 2 psi and I thought it would stay in one place. Is this normal?

I know this is an old thread but i just installed an AFPR with aeromotive gauge and im having the same problem its jumping really fast between 40 and 43 psi im hoping someone has the answer for this....

If it is NOT a liquid filled guage then this is normal. It's caused by the vibrations of the motor. It's not a big deal, it just makes it a bit harder to precisely set your base fuel pressure. If it bothers you, you can pick up a liquid filled guage for pretty cheap. Import Evolution sells the Marshall liquid filled guage for $20 I believe.
