Ok.. I have been wonding what is going on here. My oil prssure gauge jumps around when ever you are at wot and it when every you are just crusing above 3k rpms then it sits at 75psi. So i was wondering if it is normal for it to jump around like that cause i don't want to have any pressure problems. It also spray oil out of the valve cover. so i was wondering if that is what is causing it to do that.

If it's spraying oil out from the valve cover then you may have to replace that gasket. But another thing i would check is for any loose wires down by your oil pump. If you have any loose wires on a solenoid down there, it could give you a faulty reading. (Mine came completely off a couple days ago and read that i had Zero p.s.i.)
But if it's spraying out oil then that more than likely the cause...
Clean up your valve cover and anywhere else that is covered in oil and then try to find where it could be coming from.

You also might want to check and see how much oil is actually in your engine to be on the safe side ;)

well the thing is that its a new gasket. The oil is comming out the top of the valve cover. I replaced it yesterday with a different one cause the first one was doing the same thing. I pulled the stock oil pressure sensor out because of didnt work anyway so I'm just running the autometer gauge. And I keep a close eye on the oil cause I dont want to spin any bearings.

There could be a hairline crack in the valvecover as well. I assume you already checked the oil cap gasket. Also the valve cover bolts only need to be torqued to about 5 lbs. No need for a torque wrench.

Yeah. My buddy used a torque wrench on his and ended up over tightening and complained about replacing the bolts and cover :tease:

i did them by hand so i don't think that is the issue but it must be a really small crack cause i can't see it anywhere. but i know that oil is coming out. This is the second valve cover that i have gone through, but this one leaks less but still more than i car for it to be loosing oil.

Quick question.
Are you talking about the side of the valve cover itself?
or
Are you talking about oil residue on top of the valve cover?

the top of the valve cover is covered in oil rot just resude there is clearly alot of it. and its not comming from the oil cap. It is also spraying to the back of the hood so. there is alot of pressure there in the valve cover.
