So I’ve been working on fixing the broken stud on a fuel pump assembly for weeks now. Seems like the last leak I’m dealing with is out of the elbow coming out of the assembly. I’ve attached a picture. I am using an Rtm assembly. I’ve tried using some liquid sealer on the treads. I’ve tried using so thread tape. All of which failed. In tried tightening it but I’m afraid of over tightening it. Any advise would be huge thank u!

Pull it off and check the thread or rethread it, use Teflon tape around it but shouldn't be leaking, pull off inspect with more pics if you could please so we can, have a better pic.

so one of the biggest prob is that the elbow has to be pointed in a particular direction so it can meet the other hose. Its a guessing game to start it in the right spot so when its tightened its facing the right direction. Is it possible to over tighten and strip the threads or bend the elbow or destroy anything? It always feels like you can turn it another half a turn. Is there any special way to tighten an AN fitting? The tape doesn't seem to like the gas and like almost disintegrates. Do they make fuel safe tape. I've been using fuel safe gasket maker/sealer but with no real positive outcome. I will take it apart again and take some pictures of the treads for you but last time they looked good
