garret identification-Please Help

I was browsing ebay and ran across a rebuilt garret t25 turbo. However, I've never seen one of these in person. I currently have a 14b. I was wondering if anyone would be able to look at the pics to see if it really is a garret. I'm not sure how to identify one. Also, is this a direct replacement for the oem 14b?

Yes, it looks like a Garrett. No, it is not a direct replacement for your 14b the oil and coolant lines are different. However, alot of the 2g guys on here are converting from the Garrett to the 14b. Personally I'm not convinced that the gains from doing this swap are worth the time/money involved. One more thing to consider though, is that a 16g IS a direct replacement for what you have. I would stick with the 14b, but thats just me. what is wrong with the turbo that's on it?

Actually there is nothing wrong with the turbo on my car. It was rebuilt about 6k miles ago. It seems to be running great. I'm just looking for something that spools a bit quicker. I was under the impression the t25 was a faster spooling turbo.
