Well aware of the side effects, i just wanna know if ANYONE is running this. 1G, 2G, any other fwd car i just wanna know if anyone has this and what they think of it, how daily driving is, how parking is and if it feels like hell on your steering wheel due to the chirping wheels being the wheels you are using to steer with.

i kno a guy with a 1st gen neon with a srt4 engine in it with it welded, turn in isnt so great and can be dangerous through traffic if you like to zig zag lanes. Straight line though its great... Then again this was on a neon, but same principle.

just from driving my awd with a welded center i would recommend against doing it to the front diff. I can see you having major issues getting the car to turn especially if you're trying to accelerate or decelerate at the same time.

For street driving I would rather go with that LSD insert. I have raced beretta with a welded diff, on a tight 1/4 oval even with front stagger it was a pita to drive at times. So for street I would highly advise against full lock up. Lsd should work decent though.

yea i know how it is on a awd. I was just wondering how it is on a fwd dsm , like any experiences on it. Like isaid i know a guy who did it to a neon and it doesnt handle so great but is still very driveable.

would it be the same if someone with an awd welded diff dropped the t-case/driveshaft and drove around in fwd mode? I have a welded diff and am awd and have been thinking of doing this just for fun once in a while, but if drivability is going to suck more than the awd welded i might not.

wont be any fun unless you like spinning. the only advance of a fwd is better gearing in the tranny ( more top end, and longer gears ) and also about 300 lbs less weight.
Which are great over the awd cars until the spinning part comes in. For me its 1st gear i spin thru and i have good tires. id leave it alone in awd form.
