Hey i was just wondering if the awd rear end out of a 90 gsx will fit into a 92 turbo?? thanks

It has been done, but it requires way too much custom fabrication and time then it is worth. You will need a whole different transmission, rear end, axles, gas tank, and a bunch of other small shit. You're better off buying an AWD.

I disagree with this statement. Way too much custom fabrication??? There is some minor cutting and welding. I suggest buying a parts car for the swap. Heres a link to a 2g conversion, i dont have one for the 1g, but im sure its somewhat similar.

It can not be done on a 1G. On a 2G the bodies are exactly the same and like both have stated it isnt that hard, however on a 1G the actual body of the car is different. You trunk is deeper than and AWD so an AWD rear will not fit. I dont even think it would have the correct mounting points under the car either.

I would say get an AWD shell and use the parts from your car to swap into that.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I wasnt sure if the 1g was different from the 2g.
