1G FWD downpipe on AWD

Ok so my first DSM was a eclipse gst and I still have the 3" downpipe. I ran only a downpipe with a 1 foot section of pipe attached to a muffler and it sounded amazing and wasn't loud at all.

So my question is would I be able to use that same downpipe on the AWD car I will be picking up sometime next week? I understand the exhaust routing is different on back but I'm only going as far as a downpipe and muffler.

Both cars are 1g.

Figured that. I don't really have a need for the downpipe so I may just take it to a muffler shop and have them chop the section behind the flex tube off and weld a piece similar to the awd one on.
